Late Oyster mushroom, all still and quiet looking, lives on the dead trees it decomposes. But the real magic of this mushroom was found in the 1980s when scientists discovered they actually eat meat--round worms to be exact. In short order, a "shelf" of the mushrooms can poison, paralyze, inject with filaments, dissolve and absorb the unsuspecting worm into a sludge that feeds the colony.
